An insight into the technical side of the entertainment industry and the people who work there, with tips and advice for anyone who wants to get involved.
Every week Bram sits down one to one with someone from backstage: heads of department, stage managers, automation operators, wardrobe, sound, lighting and video, plus the trade bodies, manufacturers and training routes that get people through the stage door in the first place.
It's a podcast by technical staff and theatre workers more than for them. Episodes run about fifteen minutes, short enough for a tea break, and drama schools use them in their courses.
In 2026 the show added video, filmed and edited by Quelight, and started Dep Finder, a way for people starting out to find cover work with the departments they've been listening to.
